Blessed

I wish I could be more, fly higher, fight stronger, push harder. Even harder than I already have to push. I've put countless hours of labor into people and places who never had anything to give in return. Ever felt like you were so driven beyond possibility that even you can't satisfy your own self? I feel like that all of the time. At least lately.  I'm always looking for ways to be more for people, more for myself, more for the world. I've never felt like it's enough. We all have the choice to be or become happier versions of ourselves, but it definitely takes effort on your own account. I find that it is best to surround yourself with people who make you feel good about yourself. Environment is everything, and it's best to keep it positive. Simply being with the right people in any kind of atmosphere can make your job relationships, home life, etc,  that much more worth your time. So, don't be afraid to speak for yourself and when needed, ask questions to the ones you surround yourself with. You never know what you'll get in return. I had a recent miracle happen to me today. It might seem like a small miracle to some, but I do believe in everyday miracles, so I will tell you.

Someone really amazed me.  This friend/former colleague had wonderful things to say about me in a letter of recommendation that they had written for me. You never know how closely people pay attention to your life and overall happiness until you see it with your own eyes.  I was blessed with a phone call from a company that  I've been trying to get a job with for a very long time. If it weren't for this same friend, I probably wouldn't be anywhere in the process of getting in touch with anybody there. It just really makes you realize who your friends are and who looks out for your well-being. Even if I just get an interview, I'll still consider myself blessed with opportunity. I'm thrilled for what the year has to bring me.

I'm lucky to have so many amazing people in my life who can see how hard I strive to go above and beyond for whoever will have me. They too have put so much effort into helping me find what is in my best interest. Even at my worst times, back when I was laid off a few months ago, there were people looking out for me. I'm lucky to have these people in my life and will be forever grateful. Maybe going through all of the rough financial times were worth it. What if all of the recent hardships difficulties were just blessings in disguise?

Getting through long days, games, festivals, etc!

Hello, world. It's been quite some time since I've written, but I figure I might as well start somewhere again. Today was my day off. It was quite relaxing. I cleaned the apartment, did some laundry, and applied for jobs. I'm not quite sure what life will bring within this next year, but I do know that I'm excited for whatever it does bring. I feel like there is so much to say, but the words don't seem to come out in the ways I would like them to.

I've learned a few things this past week, and one of the most important ones is to not let a negative environment bring me down. The best thing to do in a negative environment is to keep doing what you are meant to until you find something better in life. Keep a smile on your face even through the worst situations and know that things are going to get better. Those who are meant to be in your life will always gravitate towards you no matter how far the distance. It's a shame to those who fail to see your worth as a somebody. My best advice to you, dear reader, is to never let people get to you. Don't let somebody tell you that you can't, especially when you know for a fact that you can find a better direction. Sometimes writing all of these thoughts down is the best way to vent.

Anyway, it's a new year and we all have so much ahead of us. Especially, us nerds! There's a new Legend of Zelda title in the works and Nintendo has already started speaking more about the NX console. I can't wait! I'm stoked to be living for The 30th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda franchise and I hope to see another limited edition Zelda system come out this new year. On another note, I am also going to be attending MagFest this year! For those of you who don't know what MagFest is, it's a video game music festival. I'm thrilled to see what kind of goodies they have in store for me in February. Just imagine all of the collectibles that I should not be spending money on! I'm thrilled to be part of the experience as I've never attended any kind of convention so this will be my first. Plus, I'm going with a very special friend of mine so I'm stoked about that part too. It's great to be writing again.
